Sony's Version of Xbox Live to be put on the PlayStation 3

On Wendsday, a Sony video game executive said that a online service will be partnered with the PS3, when it is released in November.

The president of Sony Computer Entertainment's worldwide studios, Phil Harrison, said that the basic service, know as PlayStation Network Platform, will cost nothing, in a conference for game developers.

It will allow gamers to compete, communicate, and buy game downloads using the internet.
