Reviews: A Gateway Suprise



The new Gateway, E-100M and NX100, probably suprised consumers. But 12.1-inch 3.15 pound snazzy design, will attract some attention to it. It's body is made out of magnesium and a new Intel processor. Bluetooth, 1 GB RAM are available, but the laptop comes with 802.11 GB Ethernet.

Gateway's best yet is available for prices starting at $1,400.

Sigh.
I just learned that I have failed the HTML Validation with 231 errors.
The good part is, I don't really care. All 231 of these errors don't make any huge difference in any browsers!

I checked to see if their own site had errors. But, no. It said...

(Barron's Online) quoting two Morgan Stanley analysts who claim that Steve and Friends are hard at work on "an iPod with phone functions," which is naturally being referred to as the iPhone.


The iPod, then Intel chips in it's computers!

What's next?! A super-powered iPod with the ability to transport yourself to Pluto?

Reviews: the new Sanyo C6


For my birthday (march 14), I recieved the new Sanyo C6, only released on Febuary 7, 2006. It shoots MPEG-4, which was once a problem for macs, but now it is compatible with the new iMovie HD. Sanyo has created the C6 in a way so that you control the camera's buttons with your thumb in an ergonomic design, with out too many bells and whistles. A feature sanyo built in was the ability to shoot still images while recording a movie. It turns out that is makes a break in the movie.

The 6 megapixel, 60x digital zoom cameracorder made contolling it a whole lot easier, when sanyo jammed only six buttons on the back, the still image, movie, zoom, set/move, record/play switch, and the menu button. The hand also fits nicely right under the lens and flash. One of the coolest features is that it records straight to a memory card (I reccomend a 2GB). Say goodbye to tapes! You can also play straight to your TV. In playback mode, there is audio, something I have never had.

The only problem I expierienced was that if you had auto-focus on, and you were taping something moving, you could hear the cameracorder trying to focus unsuccesfully. Luckly, you can turn off auto-focus.

    Docking station (for recharging and uploading to the computer)
